Ministry of Women Affairs
The Rivers State Ministry of Women Affairs, established in 1997, is dedicated to advancing gender equality and empowering women and girls across the state. It formulates policies and creates programs aimed at addressing societal challenges, promoting women’s development, and enhancing their economic, educational, and social opportunities. The ministry works closely with national agencies, women’s rights groups, and NGOs to ensure the upliftment of women in Rivers State.
